Lab Location:

Laboratory Services in HDHI are located on ground floor of the Hospital .Collection Centre for Blood/Urine Collection is located in OPD block for the convenience of OPD Parents.

Scope of Services:

The laboratory is exclusively intended to serve the patients of the Hospital. The Hospital provides comprehensive services in the following area in collaboration with DMCH.

• • Hematology
• • Microbiology
• • Serology
• • Biochemistry
• • Cytopathology / histopathology

The laboratories are well equipped with latest auto analyzer and state of art equipment. These work round the clock for the convenience of patients. Laboratory assures accurate and reliable test results following the established standard operating procedures to facilitate better diagnosis and treatment of patients the department also assures to protect integrity and safety of patients and staff.

Biochemistry:

The collection Lab provides the services for emergency testing in cardiac centre like

• • Blood gases
• • Electrolytes

Biochemical testing is done in clinical biochemistry which includes all the routine blood test like.

• 1. Blood sugar
• 2. Renal function test
• 3. Liver function test
• 4. Lipid profile

And special biochemistry which includes

• 1. Cardiac risk markers
• 2. Tumor markers
• 3. Various hormones
• 4. Vitamins

Pathology

• 1. Routine blood count
• 2. Coagulation study
• 3. Malaria parasite detection.
• 4. PBF examination is done in this section.

The dept is equipped with hematology cell counter. Coagulation analyzer and urine analyzer.For Histopathology services, the samples are sent to DMCH histopathological section.

Microbiology

The services available with the collaboration with DMCH.

• 1. Routine aerobic and anaerobic culture.
• 2. Viral markers testing.
• 3. Serology for various infections.
• 4. PCR for infectious disease.
